Srish and Bipin are the two members of the confirmed bachelor’s gathering in Professor Chandra Basu’s residence. Recently another young man Purna has jointed this gathering. Srish and Bipin have a doubt that Purna has joined this gathering because of the arrival of young Nirmala, Chandra Basu’s sister’s daughter. Akshay was ousted from the gathering for breaking the news regarding marriage. That day Akshay suddenly came and proposed to shift the place of gathering in their drawing room. While shifting Nirmala said she wanted to be a member of the gathering. Purna supported her. At that time in Akshay’s house there lived his three sister-in-law unmarried Nirabala and Nripabala and child widow Shailbala. Akshay’s wife Purabala and mother-in-law Jagattarivi was then in Banaras. The confirmed bachelor’s gathering started in Akshay’s drawing room. Nirmala was the only female member of that gathering. One day Purna wrote a letter to Chandra Babu proposing to marry Nirmala. Nirmala said, “it is impossible.” On the other side Jagattarivi along with Purbala came back from Banaras. They had fixed two candidates through match makers for Nripabala and Nirabala. Then there appeared Rasik Dada, who united the two young couples. Rasik convinced Jagattarini that Srish and Bipin are the two candidates fixed by the match-maker for Nripabala and nirabala. When their marriage was settled Purna suggested Nirmala to consider his case also.
