yesterday i have watched back to back 2 movies both made in bengal .... after almost 1 year in cinema hall and that is too in one of the heart of the city(i mean kolkata!)

anyway, about the topic i had not any expectation about Chawrasta really as i already got some mixed reviews which intend me to do that!...but seriously am surprized as i watchd the complete movie

Dutta is getting mature enough as director day to day ...
though Chawrasta is not a perfect or complete flawless movie or a delicious like Chalo,Let's Go! But its good enough to call a good movie.
Its not an typical art movie but not for a mass though...but good to see that the movie is getting out of old suffocated fantasy available in bengali movies and choose a stylised way to tell a movie!

well, ther is a habit in case of review to tell some of the summarised story but i really dnt care about it!... i'll like to suggest people to go and watch the cinema as it is a cinema...not only a story!
well, i like those films which have good stories and which tells the story beautifully but Chawrasta-Crossroads of Love have not any good storyline or you can call any storyline which cant called a cliché!

    then what?

there is a dialogue in the films said by Jimmy(Vioctor Banerjee)...."You have come in wrong place in right time!"

this type of things you can hear in pieces of Discworld or a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!...but its in now in Duuta's flick!
and thats the point....Dutta have gathered some cliché stories with some cliché character again but this time they are clash in just right time!

and the characters get a complete shape for each!...and thats the magic behind the movie!!

anoother things...Chawrasta-Crossroads of Love is a good name for a good movie but a very Duttaesque !
a problem of this movie is Darjeeling is a mood in the movie not the character!...yep.Jimmy is the representatives of Darjeeling...but again it is a movie sets in Darjeeling not the movie of Darjeeling so the Chawrasta is not a sutaible name for the movie as i think(others sure have different thinkng on it!)

the movie is basically a written paper of can be named it like "A Storyteller" or "the first story i've written!" like this or "a bad story"...may be any other but noot the present one!....well,its a very personal opinion of mine so dnt take it so seriously!

and now the usual review on the different materials of the film
the actors did really great job ...and almost everyone.....great see Purang in screen!!
but the discover is i think the Naved Aslam!!...just great ....and also Bhaskar Pradhan!
cinematography is as usual excellent ...a great combo of Dutta and Indraneel Mukherjee....
the music are seriously breathtaking....mesmerizing !!
in fact i found the first Dutta-movie where all the songs are well-placed perfectly!....
and songs are individually great !

what else to write ?... lastly its not a movie to project in a large cinema-hall but in some very tinny hall with a pour crowd!.....You can easily relish it!
