  If you are in appreciation of urban rom-coms, then it's mostly a safe bet that Cocktail has been on your waiting hotlist for some months now. From the mouth-watering promos/trailers and the peppy eargasm of its music to the reunion of Love Aaj Kal trio and a new fresh newcomer, Cocktail looks like a perfect package that will leave you high!   The music,its characters and the spunk are the elements that really drives 'cocktail'.The mix of humour, emotions, friendship,feelings and love is what describes cocktail in brief.The story, written by imtiaz ali and sajid ali is not sumthing that has not been captured in bollywood.Love triangle,friendship-turning-love is a formula or a genre that has generated interest among the film goers from times immemorial.But since it has been captured from the times of amitabh-rekha-jaya to new age saif-deepika-diana, it would be interesting to see how the new generation accepts ... » read more

  Cocktail is let down by its inane plot

  Why, Bollywood, why? Why this cold shower, this Vicky Christina Bar-Bar-Rona? Why must you promise a potent, heady concoction only to water it down with clichéd club soda, like a sadistic bartender? Why must the most modern aspect of a contemporary film be the clothes the actors wear? Why must characters, in a bid to prove how blasé they are, flip themselves the bird while trying on said clothes? And why -- oh lord why -- can't films be as efficiently short as heroines' skirts nowadays are?

  A 2.5 hours long love quadrangle!

  At one point in time you would get so confused that you might even start thinking if Diana and Deepika love each-other or what? Thank god for Saif, else it could have been a different kind of love story! :)
  
  In short: Gautam (Saif) loves Meera (Diana), Meera is married to Kunal (Randeep Hooda) still loves Gautam, Veronica (Deepika) loves Gautam.
  
  At one time you will also be forced to believe (almost) Randeep is gay! Beautiful story writing, God damn it! :) You can anyways watch him sizzle with Sunny Leone in Jism2. And no, Sunny Le-One is no sister ... » read more
