    Darshan Jariwala is a Gujarati theatre and television artist as well as an actor in Hindi films. His mother was a well known Gujarati actress of her time, Leela Jariwala. He is married to Apara Mehta, a television actress famous for her role essayed in the popular soap Kyonki Saans Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi.

    On television, one of his most famous roles has been that of the lead role in the serial, 'Narasimha Mehta'', the disciple of Lord Krishna.

    Among the popular Gujarati plays in which he has featured, are , Hatheli Par Baat Baaki, Patro Mitro, Mulraj Mansion and Andhalo Pato.

    He also acted in plays in Hindi, such as Uncle Samjha Karo, and in English, such as, Going Solo 2.

    On the big screen, he has played small characters in many Hindi films like Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Guru and Aap Ka Soorur. However, it has been his role of Mahatma Gandhi in the recent film Gandhi, My Father (2007) that has got him the best critical acclaim, both within and outside the nation. He was also offered the role of Gandhi in the famous play Mahatma Vs Gandhi, but heatre personality) but couldn't take it up because of date problems.
