Not a bad ‘Dekko’!
This seems to be the season of Black humour. After 99 and Sankat City, Another film arrives this Friday with a backdrop of dark humour and characters entangled with each other for money. While 99 and Sankat City with taut script and great performances satisfied our senses, Will Dekh re Dekh be able to do the same ?? Lets find out!
Dekh re dekh is a story of 4 people who are no where related to each other and yet end up bumping into each other’s lives and get drawn to commit a crime for some selfish motives. How they struggle to do that, what all hurdles they face and how they deal with each other ultimately forms the crux of the story.
The concept is nice and the director’s style of introducing characters through flashback also proves to be an interesting take. As expected, the Director goes for a ‘real’ look for his movie and gets it right for most of the film.
However, Things become very confusing and slow in 2nd half and One begins to get bored by the goings-on. What worsens the First half’s impact is the song-n-dance sequence which seem really out of place. The climax too is quite abrupt, though it may appeal to some.
Performances by Vijay Raaz and Raghuveer Yadav are perhaps the saving grace of this otherwise dull film. Gracy Singh has got an interesting character, but fails to do justice to it. Siddharth Koirala doesnt make any impression what-so-ever.
“So bol meri “Filmi Khopdi” is film mein kitna hain dum ?”
Thoda bahut dum hai, but kaafi nahi hai. After an interesting start, The film gets confusing and quite boring as it progresses. Still, Its not such a bad watch with the budget and actors its made, considering what we saw Some film-makers churn out in last 2 weeks even with Big stars and Huge budget.
