This above reality is the basic premise of this film. The generation we speak about is the countless number of children, who for no fault of theirs are forced to live on the footpaths, railways platforms, by lanes and other such places and are unfortunately called street children.
If they are not given the proper support and guidance, they will be engulfed by the darker elements in our society. This cruel reality forces our leading man Manav to take up their cause very seriously.
Manav, who is lovingly called, Manu, is a happy, fun loving young man looking after his family restaurant. He meet Suman, a beautiful young girl. It was love at first sight but only for Manu becasue Suman was totally focussed towards the cause of the street and destitute children.
She was obsessed about her dream which was to build a shelter home for these children and she fails to recognise Manu's feeling for her, but she became instrumental in putting across the cause of these children to Manu.
Manu takes up Sumans cause and it becomes his life's mission. While working towards building the shelter home. Manu comes in direct conflict with a builder Mahatre, who being eyeing that same plot of land for his own commercial gain. Mahatre resorts to all kinds of underhanded and illegal means to defeat Manu in his mission.
Eventually Manu manages to defeat Mahatre and his associates and succeeds in building the "Suman Shelter Home".
This is our humble attempt to put across the ease of these helpless children. It is easy for all of us identity with their situation because we all have been through childhood and can imagine what be like to live in this big world... All alone.
What a child needs is love care, affection, protection and the right guidence and if he or she is unfortunate enough to be deprived of these basic rights, what would happen to them. This movie pleads and wants all of us to reach out to these needy children in any which way we can.
