    Whenever we talk of Cop and Gangsters films, Ram Gopal Varma’s name instantly flashes in our mind. He has produced and directed innumerable films on these themes, some of which like Shiva, Satya, Company, Sarkar and Ab Tak Chappan are still considered as towering landmarks in this genre. We have seen such great cinema from this talented director that despite him giving dozens of bad films in the recent past, we continue to expect him to strike back with his next film.     The Plot: In order to track the activities of underworld, the top officials of police department chalk out a plan and Sanjay Dutt is given the responsibility to execute the plan. Rana Daggubati assists Sanjay in his mission. With the help of gangster turned politician, they finish off all the underworld activities, but they themselves get into underworld.
    Ram Gopal Verma has tried to do something different this time and thus he imported an Indian Brazilian model. With much hype and publicity he made her an item girl but now its on audience to accept her or not. The ... » read more

Shoot at sight. Point blank. In different ways that's exactly what Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) and his characters do in Department.

While his cop heroes Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati and their hazily sketched compatriots (one of whom looks like Deepak Tijori) go on a cleansing rampage against socio-paths, RGV goes on his own trip, shooting characters at angles you've never seen them being shot.
