Pandit Kashinath (Satyen Kappoo) and Kalu (Pran) are from different minorities, and Pandit doesnot like Kalu as he thinks his religion is destroyed due to it. Thakur Yashwant Singh (Amjad Khan) rules over a region. He has no feelings for the poor, and is very greedy and is only interested in women. When his father passes away, he increases the taxes payable. Villagers aren't happy about it and Kalu supports them from the front. Thakur beats Kalu and tries to remove his madness of supporting the farmers but Kalu does not agree. Jeeva comes to his rescue with the mother of Thakur helping him. One day a woman was sweeping the floor and Thakur slips off from it and falls down. Thakur gets angry and slaps that woman. Jeeva reaches there to save the woman who was actually his mother. Jeeva is shocked to know that his mother works under Thakur when Jeeva himself is earning. His mother tells about the portion of lands she had kept mortgaged to Lala (Jeevan), whose amount payable just went on increasing day by day due to fraudulent acts of Lala and she kept working, trying to earn enough money to pay all her debts. One day, Jeeva is accused for killing a cow and the village council decide that Jeeva has to leave the village. Jeeva is badly beaten. His mother prays to God to save his son. Jeeva gets a new life but his mother is no more. Jeeva takes an oath at Ganga to take revenge from Thakur and only then he would take a sigh of relief. Watch out for the changes that place in Jeeva's place.
