My Rating

  • Detective Naani rating: 7 out of 10(Aakash Barvalia wrote on 11 Jun 2009)

I will only say that it’s a must watch film for everybody. This movie is kind of very informative and can bring a good awareness in the society. Though it’s a very low budget project but still all the performances, storyline, screenplay, music were overall good as per the budget of the film. The home production movie by Romilla, Jolly and Ava Mukherjee had given us a good movie in that time where people were desperate to see movies. Detective Naani, acted by Ava Mukherjee gave her best performance as also the whole story was only focused on her so she had to deliver her best. But at this age, I will salute to Detective Naani.

The story of the film is very simple but still a good suspense and informative movie. Naani lives alone in a society who is very caring in her nature and everybody in the society gives her a pleasant respect. Her daughter (Amrita Raichand) and her granddaughter (Simran Singh) often comes in her apartment. Her son is often busy in his schedules so her grandson (Zain Khan) usually comes at her daadi’s house. Once Naani saw a small little girl in one the flat. She saw that girl and felt that she is upset. After few days the girl was missing and the flat owners denied the presence of any girl. After few days the maid who was working in that flat was missing and Naani felt that she is being killed as she heard some noise of lifting morgue in the middle of the night. Naani decided to investigate the mystery and in her mission their neighbors Rohan (Amit Verma) and Neeti (Shweta Ghulati) and one old man Mahesji (Dr. Hemu Adhikari) joined them. Including them her daughter, grandson and also granddaughter joined. Slowly slowly they found some clues and got to knew that something big is fishing out. Child kidnapping racket, selling small little children’s in foreign countries. They took the help from a cop CID Inspector Bhatia (Ankur Nayyar). They found out that it’s a big racket involved in it and one the Business Tycoon is running this whole activity. Watch the movie and find out how Naani and her team exposes this racket saves small little children’s lives.

The team of this movie has spread some awareness in the society and motivated us to be alert that if we feel that if something or the other is going wrong around us then we must step forward, take help from Police and do some necessary action smartly. If we all individual understand this then I believe many racket can be exposed, many terrorist activities can be stopped and in short many lives can be saved before something worse happen.

Many things can be learned from this movie and most importantly lesson is that ki who said 60+ people are use for nothing. Watch detective Naani and many 60+ people will get some inspiration and many 60- people will get some message.

I would rate: Two thumbs up for Detective Naani.
