    Bharat (Rajendra Kumar) is a man for whom justice is very important. When he comes to know of the tyrannical Diwan (Ajit) and his colleagues (Sudesh Kumar, Rajendranath), he rebels and kidnaps princess Chitralekha (Waheeda Rehman) unknowingly and call her Jwala. Bharat's dad (Balraj Sahni) who is an inspector general does not approve of Bharat's rebellious nature and decides to arrest him. Bharat's mother (Kamini Kaushal) is torn between her love for her husband and her love for her son. Bharat decides to blast a train in which his father is travelling. Will he finally accomplish this? Will he commit patricide?
