Haste Reh Jaaoge--
True to this review - you cannot but laugh ur a** off ! Hilarious and mind-blowing performances by Paresh Rawal and Johny Lever. My gawd- for a change we cud get to see him instead of a monotonous Rajpal Yadav whose becoming one too over-bearing these days !!!! BUT, yes- Paresh Rawal does STEAL the show .. For a first timer director - it worked becauz of an able screenplay and witty and funny dialogues-- There are some instances i wana share with you guys-- The protagonists name their company with Japanese collaborators CHARSUBISHI Pvt Ltd.. ha ha Johny Lever -the pro-Paki writer takes us thru his hilarious script of "SOLAY se L'Gan Tak" roping in good mimicry from SHOLAY, DDLJ, GADAR and LAGAAN. mannn.. too good laughs.. LOL LOL LOL.. Sonu Sood also tries being in several avtars.. but sadly "the moody super star who throws tantrums" image doesnt suit him much. Soha Ali Khan does a good job at looking her best [hey, thats what Indian heroines are for, rite?]
The songs are just abt OK.. nothing much worthy of a mention..so i shall leave it at that .. Storywise- its a little less than what can be digested but for now- we can and shall give them their fair share of cinematic liberty! Kunal Khemu (in my opinion) looks more convincing as the hakla lover more than a cunning calculative crook.
My Verdict : Simply go to the theater to have fun, some good laugh, witty dialogues that make you merry and Do NOT for god sake- try to justify each and everything by BRAINS.
As they say -Sometimes Pure and Sponteneous LAUGHTER is a good medicine. Toh bhaiyon aur behno- Derr kis baat ki?
