    A Bumpy Ride

More than a decade ago, there was a Zee TV series “Ye Shaadi Nahin Ho Sakti” directed by Satish Kaushik featuring Sudhir Pandey and Aditya Srivastava among many other good actors, which revolved around the filmmaker trying to “make” a super-flop film to evade tax liabilities; and in doing that he ensembles the worst possible cast and crew to make the film, which on the contrary becomes a super-hit. That serial and DRJ have the same plotline borrowed from the same foreign source.

I was looking forward to this one. I thought that it would be a mindless one with funny lines and comic capers, just what the doctor ordered on a lazy evening. However the movie failed to deliver.

It was boring, too long for comfort, and Kunal Khemu too 'thaka huya' to be tolerated for long. Felt sorry for him too, midway that these are the roles that he is reuced to doing these days. Paresh Rawal was good and so was Johny Lever, their comic timing providing the much needed relief from the boredom of Sonu Sood, Soha Ali Khan ... » read more

    Hide and Seek

“Spoof” Films have been a trend in Hollywood and we have seen them making Spoof Films of many super hit films in different way and have achieved good box office results too. In out Hindi Film industry we hardly have films which we can call as Spoof films. “Doondte Reh Jaaonge” looks like a Spoof to super hit Hindi films, Will it work? Let’s find out.

“Doondte Reh Jaaonge” is story of Raj Chopra [Paresh Rawal],a broke producer who desperately wants to make a film. he once cons a straight forward C.A Anand [Kunal Khemu] and his girl Friend ... » read more

A good try for the debutant director Umesh Shukla and good attempt from all the struggling artists, almost. Spoof up is good way to start a comedy film fro the first time. As if its goes anything wrong in screenplay, dialogues or direction then atleast the audience will enjoy the spoof ups of the film or characters. Although there were many drawbacks, but one can definitely move out of the theatre with a smile on their face. And that’s more important I guess in this fast life. I liked Paresh Rawal very much amongst all. His character, his dialogue delivering, etc. and ... » read more

    Haste Reh Jaaoge--

True to this review - you cannot but laugh ur a** off ! Hilarious and mind-blowing performances by Paresh Rawal and Johny Lever. My gawd- for a change we cud get to see him instead of a monotonous Rajpal Yadav whose becoming one too over-bearing these days !!!! BUT, yes- Paresh Rawal does STEAL the show .. For a first timer director - it worked becauz of an able screenplay and witty and funny dialogues-- There are some instances i wana share with you guys-- The protagonists name their company with Japanese collaborators CHARSUBISHI Pvt Ltd.. ... » read more

The three new releases -- DHOONDTE REH JAOGE, 13B and KARMA AUR HOLI -- opened to poor houses. In fact, the dull opening didn't come as a surprise since the release date coincided with a crucial cricket match as also the examination period. The opening at several screens was 10% - 15%, at places even lower. Let's hope the business shows an escalation on Saturday and Sunday. » read more

Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge, inspired heavily by the Hollywood movie The Producers, is a mindless comedy starring Paresh Rawal, Sonu Sood, Kunal Khemu, Soha Ali Khan and Johnny Lever.

3 years back, Paresh Rawal comedies would open big at the box-office. His name alone would guarantee a good initial (Malamaal Weekly, Hungama). Times have changed and after a few poor roles and box-office disasters, Paresh is no longer the draw he once was. Can the first directed by Umesh Shukla turn things around for the brilliant actor?

The concept is simple, brilliant, unique ... » read more

All I can say is fun movie to watch with family. One can say “a time-pass film”. The entire artists have performed well during their struggle period. Lovable performance to watch by Paresh Rawal. The movie can be made even more better than this but can be given points because of low budget, signing low budget artists, debutant director, result not much impressive story & performance and as result not much impressive outcome. Some parts were indeed very funny for example the “phir kabhi” sequence performed by Pareshji, the credit titles were funny and the above from all ... » read more

Solay se L’Gaan tak was indeed much funny then the original film. Nice tried spoof ups of many films, but it can be more entertaining. I guess lack of screenplay and dialogue was the reason behind this. Apart from this I guess everything was Ok. Umesh Shukla tried his best to entertain people. Paresh Rawal was too good. Soha was cute. Sonu need to work out. Kunal has good future. Johnny was same didn’t gave something new to audiences after appearing long time. Music was quite ok, just loved the tile track and title music. All in all its true that its good to watch as home ... » read more
