    Raveena tandon was offered the role of nisha...but at that time of period she was insane enough to get engaged to akshay kumar and was in a settling mode,so declined this offer along with other offers as GUPT&VIRASAT, which were all big hits

    The role of Nisha was turned down by Juhi Chawla, Kajol and Urmila Matondkar, before it was finally accepted by Karisma Kapoor. The other actresses had reservations about playing the second lead to Madhuri Dixit. Karisma won both the National and Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress for this much-rejected role.
