This musical has been dedicated to the great music composer, R.D Burman. Three love stories running parellel come together in the climax of the film. The first couple Krish (Madhvan) and Raksha(Namrata Shirodkar) are both singers and over time Raksha gains more fame than her struggling husband, which leads to an ego clashes and disrupts their relationship leading them in seperate directions. The second is Dev (Sanjay Suri) and Gauri (Sonali Kulkarni) who's looking after her ailing brother Gaurav (Rakesh Bapat). His illness has taken such a toll on her that she feels tremendous guilt to move on with her own life. This situation starts to over shadow a growing fondness between Gauri and Dev. The third story is about Hrithik (Jimmy Shergil) and Jojo (Hrishita Bhatt). Jojo asks Hrithik to leave his father’s money and spend his life with Jojo on his own steam. The three leading men are also friends which is where their lives are all intertwined. They choose to enter in a singing competition and during this process their personal lives and romantic ties become the theme of this film. The music comprised of popular songs of the late R. D. Burman which were re-recorded by his erstewhile assistant Babloo Chakraborty and re-sung by singers of the new generation.
