Do Dooni Chaar rating: 7 out of 10(Aakash Barvalia wrote on 14 Oct 2010)

After a long time I guess a decent film came which can be seen with your entire family. A film with some moral values, something to learn, something to experience, and something to grasp light fun filled entertainment; that all this film is about.

It’s an about a middle class family who has normal dreams in their life, stays at Delhi, and who is sustaining their life by counting every single penny. The head of the family is Rishi Kapoor who is a college professor and also to fulfill basic need of their kids he gives lectures in one of the coaching classes. One fine day they all attended a marriage occasion of their relatives, and the entire roller coaster story started from there to buy a four-wheeler in their life. Now to buy a normal first-hand car was something out of the budget for the Mr. Head of the family. But then also he had the courage to fulfill the dream of their kids, and for that how many struggles and what kind of days have been seen in his life through fun-filled light comedy and entertainment is all about this film.

Director Habib Faisal has done splendid job in his debutant. While the story and concept was family oriented, director has directed the whole movie in such a way only where one can purely feel the nature of the family, and one can definite compare this family with our middle class family. This credit goes to the writer of this film, which is again none other than Habib Faisal. In the writer field it’s not his debut, as he has given us hit films like ‘Tara Rum Pum’ and ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’. The dialogues are again very crisp, to the point, and also somewhat funny. The total screenplay is very cut-to-short, hilarious, with some strong message hidden.

But the film belongs to none other than Rishi Kapoor. He is a pure gem and had given us a splendid performance again. Although Neetu Singh/Kapoor got a limited screen presence, but she has played her part of role brilliantly though coming back in front of screen after so many years. Not even a single point of time I felt that she has made a comeback, she is purely a veteran artist. After watching her in this film, we definitely want her more and more in upcoming films. Rest the two kids were super, especially the girl ‘Aditi Vasudev’. She was excellent in her part of role, and her voice over in explaining the whole story in the film was super beautiful. If got any proper chance, then she has a very successful career in acting field.

All in all, this film is purely watchable for all the middle class family with their ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’.

    3.5 / 5
