No Fun Lies Behind this Door!

Director David Dhawan has created once again. After “Jodi No.1” which was released in 2001 he created a series of flops in his Filmography. “Kyun ki Main Jhooth Nahin Bolta” – On an average; Yeh Hai Jalwa – Ok; Hum Kisse se kam Nahin – Flop; Chor Machaye Shor – Too bad; Ek aur ek Gyarah – Forget it! And then thank for goodness he came up with “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” which ranked 3 stars to 4 stars on an average. Then again he came up with loose mediocre type of comedies in “Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya” and “Shaadi No.1”. And then all of a ... » read more

    Disappear…Disappear…

Tanaaz Irani’s golden phrase is aptly coined for comic tortures like this. In making for ages, a not so happening comedy…

Flamboyant playboy Raj (Govinda) depends financially on his rich but out of shape wife Kiran (Sushmita Sen). He also keeps young Dolly (Lara Dutta) and somehow manages both of them. A suspicious Kiran takes help of her old friend Nunnu (Ranvir Shorey) to spy on Raj, who now has to find a way out. He gets Govardhan (Ritesh) to act as Dolly’s boyfriend and dodge Nunnu. To catch Raj red handed all the above characters ... » read more

Let’s first understand the most essential requirement to watch a David Dhavan-Govinda film… Logic not allowed, brains not allowed, story not allowed and item numbers, time wasting songs allowed. When you completely accept these criteria only then can you think about watching Do knot disturb else you’ll be pulling your hair out just 10 mins into the film!

DKD is the story of Raj (Govinda) who’s two-timing his super rich wife Kiran (Sushmita) with an item girl Dolly (Lara Dutta). Raj’s love story falls into trouble when his wife discovers a photograph of him with ... » read more

    Dolly Dolly Dolly Dolly….

Starring Govinda, Lara Dutta, Sushmita Sen, Riteish Deshmukh, Manoj Pahwa, Ranvir Shorey, Rajpal Yadav, Sohail Khan and Himani Shivpuri, the movie is directed by David Dhawan and is produced by Vashu Bhagnani.

Having seen just some of the promos of this comedy, it was not a letdown and especially if it is directed by David Dhawan and the cast includes Govinda and Riteish Deshmukh. A rich businessman tries to hide his extramarital affairs by hiring a simple man whose mother is sick and in hospital.

Govinda is his usual ... » read more

    Don't disturb these people...

Expectations from a David-Dhawan-Govinda film are huge, as they have given us true classics in the past. Their latest offering 'Do Knot Disturb' is easily their weakest fare together.

Acting is no better; either Govinda, Lara Dutta & Sushmita Sen ham. Govinda's female voice imitation is another sore point. Lara & Sushmita overact like never before. Ritesh is alright. Sohail Khan doesn't work. Manoj Phawa & Rajpal Yadav are fantastic; these 2 steal the show. Ranvir Shorey is wasted; plus the role of his twin is horrible. Himani ... » read more

    Don’t Stop..let it flow…..

In 90’s whenever a David Dhawan film use to hit the big screen people use to rush to nearby cinema house to see it and if it was David Dhawan-Govinda film they use to flock the cinemas. One after one almost all super hits. But slowly the quality faded down and both started hitting their low in individual career, till few years back they banged back with Partner which reminded of the same old days. And in same tradition to continue the magic they come back again with their favorite producer Vashu Bhagnani in Do Knot Disturb. Let’s find ... » read more

The multi-star comedy directed by David Dhawan apart from his favorite comedy king have casted other stars like Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen. In song ‘’Sohni Lagdi Teri Gal Sohniye’. Lara Dutt in looks of 60’s looks great in this song sequence.

Do Knot Disturb has a scattered fun. It entertains in bits and pieces but not enough to deserve the price of your ticket.
Overall it is not so good film!!

David Dhawan has always made wacky and bizarre films and his new baby Do Knot Disturb doesn't push the envelope either. His critics may term his cinema outlandish and outrageous, but the fact is that his films cater to the aam junta. His mantra is simple: Haso aur hasao.

Now let's analyse Do Knot Disturb, inspired by the French film La Doublure aka The Valet (2006). David has tackled extra-marital affairs in his earlier films like Saajan Chale Sasural, Gharwali Baharwali and Biwi No.1. Do Knot Disturb also talks of a married man having a torrid affair with a supermodel, ... » read more
