Plot Summary: A simple man (Vijay) from the city of mumbai is recruited by a police officer to pretend as the Don, the leader of an international gang of smugglers, in order to trace him. But unfortunately Vijay is left alone in this mission with his lover (Roma) and an ex con artist to help him to prove his innocence.

  Don II is a re-made verson of the older Don which had Amitabh Bachchan in it . This is the story of Don ( Shahrukh Khan ) who is a drug mafia in Malasia . When Don is seriously injured by a Police Commissioner, the word is spread that he is dead. He is captured and kept in a secret location where his look-alike Don ( Vijay ) is sent to nab the entire Don gang. In a bizarre twist of fate, the man who is humble gets killed and the original Don enters the gang. The entire police deparment and the other gangsters are out to nab him. In an attempt to prove his innocence he is helped by Roma ( Priyanka ) and Jagjjit ( Arjun Rampal ) who owes Vijay a favor for taking care of his son during his imprisonment. Priyanka realises that he is the actual Don and not Vijay. He escapes in the end with nobody being able to nab him, and says " Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahin, namumkin bhi hai."
