"Dosar" fails to satisfy the eager viewer.. It is a weak plot with a denouement completely unexplained.. If Kaberi and Kaushik have finally made up with the cliched "forgiveness", how does the cliche operate between the two of them? What prompts Kaberi to pardon her errant husband? How are we to know that Kaushik had indeed committed a "bhool" and not an "annyay" (quoting from the film)?
What is the role served by the sub-plot? How does it strengthen the main plot?
These are the unexplained questions which make the film seem like an incomplete unresolved story..
The black and white presentation is fresh..
The first scene is cinematographically pleasant - the water scape through the windows with the Tagore number in the background sans music.. But that's about it..
