Dujone is bengali version of the bollywood movie Yeh Dil(Tusshar, Natasha Starrer Released on 2003) with some more twists and turns and with some amendments,.The film is about a story of two different background people. Here Akash(Dev )is a son of a rich Industrialist Arun Bandopahyay who love his social fame and power. Meghna(Shrabanti) is a daughter of fish businessman. When they fall in love lot of opposition has come from both of their family.Even Akash & Meghna's father also made a lot of conspiration to break their relation with the help of Police Commissioner. But however by the help of their friends ultimately they able meet with each other again and after a lots of twists & turns ultimately their love wins.
The story is good but not execellent as storytelling is somehow not so different lots of imitation found from some of the present bengali films.
As per the performance is concern Dev is growing as an actor film by film & he is convincing also with his role. Shrabanti also good need to control her emotions on some scenes. Arun,Soumitra , Kharaj ,Debesh also good with their respective characters. But a actress like Seema Biswas's potentiality has not used properly .She deserve some better role.
The good thing of the film is Action scenes and credit goes to Judo ramoo. Except the title track other songs are not so audible. Audience will forget after coming out from the cinema hall. In this film jeet ganguly, Goutam Susmit, Priyo disappoints us.
In this film we can able to see one of good locations in Bengal also. But overall experience of the movie is average. Dev Srabanti Jodi is good but not like Jeet Koel or Dev Payel or Dev Subhasree or Hiran Srabanti. Something is missing in their chemistry. As this is the rajiv's first film he needs to work on something different which is truely new because he has that potentiality i believe after watching the film.
