18th century story, in 21st century reel!

Dulha Mil Gaya rating: 4 out of 10

The first movie as a Director by Mudassar Aziz. A nice attempt by him, but not so good story presented to us. However, the screenplay done by him is somewhat bearable and also somewhat quite interesting in second half, but again. A bad start with a lousy script in hand.

Story of the film is very simple, Infact it’s quite predictable and you must have seen number of times from our old 80’s film. Also one can compare it with many films, as the story and the script is quite and almost same.

    Poor debut!

Dulha Mil Gaya rating: 4 out of 10

Mudassar Aziz doesn't get the comic spirit right, although he does add a dash of EQ to the proceedings. Aziz has tailored the script to ensure that he factors in the typical ‘family’ crowd our Hindi films have been famous for targeting in the past. The film may be a bit traditional in that sense and stick out like a sore thumb in this era of urbane concepts and edgy narrations. But as a debut effort, he does a not-so-bad job.

Actually after watching this film it looks like that Aziz came from the old school of filmmaking that puts no lateral thinking in his conventional-to-the-core ... » read more

Not film, but performance wise – Good!

Dulha Mil Gaya rating: 5 out of 10

    By Ritesh Kataria(01 Jun 2010)

No doubting Sen’s intelligence in real life, but she plays the hoity-toity diva with ease. What saves this film from complete disappointment is Sushmita Sen, who in a stroke of casting genius, plays an exaggerated version of herself, delivering an inspired performance as the snootiest, dizziest diva with the funniest lines you can think of. She is, as Shimmer, and funny, only because the character seems to be tailor-made for her – a beauty without brains.

Fardeen is okay. He is better in Dulha Mil Gaya than in most of his earlier films, but that doesn’t mean ... » read more

    Its an Indian Wedding afterall!

Dulha Mil Gaya rating: 5 out of 10

    By B.H.Harsh (08 Jan 2010)

Much as this film is set in West Indies and tries too hard to be cool and hip, Dulha Mil Gaya only reminds us of all the good and bad things about Hindi cinema. Its a little tacky, melodramatic, full of cliches for most of its running length and yet pretty neat fun.

The story has a lot of fun at its base, and yet its played out in a very under-stated manner. Thus, despite being capable of some fire-cracking entertainment, the film only ends up being mildly enjoyable.

Sure, the director knows how to use his Background music for the comic parts. Also its ... » read more

    Donsai, Bye Bye

Dulha Mil Gaya rating: 3 out of 10

Are you already tired of flicks being in news for every other thing except for it’s contents and craftsmanship? Keep some energy in stock, for the inflow of such movies is never going to cease…

Tej Dhanraj aka Donsai (Fardeen Khan) is a rich, spoilt brat Casanova, who does not believe in the institution of marriage and commitment. He keeps on dating hot babes (Anushka Manchanda & co) and glamour models including Shimmer (Sushmita Sen) in T&T. Coincidently Shimmer is also a heavy headed independent lady who keeps one–upmanship to her male counterparts. To get Donsai ... » read more

All the actors are over the top

Dulha Mil Gaya rating: 8 out of 10

The movie is endearing about a village girl from Punjab who unsuspectingly gets married to a playboy from Trinidad. This playboy played by Fardeen Khan gets married only to fulfill his father's conditions on the will and then returns to Trinidad to pursue his wild ways. The girl follows him to Trinidad and is then groomed by Shimmer (Sushmita Sen) to woo her husband back. SRK plays Sushmita's love interest in the movie. All the 4 main actors are quite melodramatic and over the top in the movie. Sushmita goes a bit too far playing the diva, Fardeen tries too hard to portray ... » read more
