Uday (Vivek Oberoi) dreams of becoming a police officer and serving his country along with his friend Mohan (Sushant Singh). Both join the training camp where the officer-in-charge is Rajdutt Sharma( Mukesh Rishi). Rajdutt gives the impression of a corrupt officer but soon they realise that Rajdutt is one of the few honest officers who believe in doing things at the right time and in the right way. Both Uday and Mohan are selected and are given police training. Uday falls in love with Kaveri (Diya Mirza) at first sight. Kaveri is against Uday's decision of joining the police force and asks Uday to take up a job with a much better salary taking the help of her brother. But Uday denies the offer.

One day a police officer Shankar (Atul Kulkarni) misbehaves with Kaveri and when Uday comes to know about it he beats Shankar so badly that he leaves a permanent mark on his face. Shankar wants revenge and one day, Shankar gets hold of Uday and beats him almost to death. He then, leaves Uday on a railway track to die, but Uday escapes. Uday gets hospitalised and recovers soon to regain strength and gets the joining letter for the police force at the same place under Shankar. Shankar won't allow this to happen and thinks of various plans. However, Uday is determined to be a cop but take the revenge. Does he overcome all the barsiers that come in the way of achieving his goals?
