This is a first class thriller and you won't be disappointed. The only down side to this is sometimes it was difficult to understand Ray Winstone as he talked too low at times when we really needed to hear what he had to say. Disappointment.
The first 20-minutes of this movie and the last 2-minutes are quite emotional. A box of Kleenex would be in order. Everything else in between is a pure Mel Gibson character doing what he does best: hunting down those who hurt his family. Great stunts too. Game on.
Detective Tom Craven's (Gibson) daughter Emma (Novakovic) is gunned down. Believing the bullet was meant for him, Tom makes it his mission in life to find out who shot his daughter.
This isn't as simple as the above sounds. There's a lot going on and you may be in for some surprises. I did read this that it was based upon a TV series, but never having seen it or even known about it, anyways forget about it and just enjoy the movie as it is. The entire cast performed well. And, as for Mr. Gibson, well, he's pure gold in these movies.
Okay, I didn't like the title, but again it was based upon a TV series I didn't see or know about. Seeing the title makes it sound like a daytime soap. Yes, they could have, should have changed the title. Tough room! Wow, it can be a title??
