An incredible tale of a group of sled dogs, abandoned by their owners in the wake of a disastrous weather condition, who survive almost 6 months by themselves in the horrendous conditions of Antartica. The men are simply insignificant in this beautifully shot film, which is also based on a true story. The photography is excellent; takes you right through those frozen land, and you feel like being there; abandoned, helpless. You feel the pain, the helplessness that those wonderful dogs go through.
If you don't hate animals, then the film will leave you in tears. You can't help but fall in love with these beautiful dogs. Throughout the movie they fight for their survival while exhibiting team work and compassion for each other. It is almost impossible to hold back the tears while watching the way these wonderful dogs care for one another. The rest of the plot is almost unimportant. It's all about them, the dogs!
