  If you already heard songs in the Tamil or Telugu versions of this movie, then you might not like this album. Rahman retained all songs with 2 additional songs and 2 instrumentals. The songs are above average. The songs are written by Javed Akhtar, and it is fair.

  Disappointing album from Rahman

  After Rockstar, comes the Ek Deewana Tha from the maestro Rahman. And if you thought it to be a back to back dhamaka, then this album is surely gonna disappoint you.
  
  Except for the soft romantic number 'Hosanna' (by Suzanne D'Mellow and Leo D'souza), no other song really stands out. Unbelievable for something that has AR Rahman in it. But sad as it sounds, that's the truth.
