Saxy it is...
Amit Trivedi is back after a long break. 'Aisha' was his last, if i can remember properly. And again, with his lyricist friend Amitabh Bhattacharya penning songs for him, Trivedi creates a lively, peppy album that makes a great listen!
My most favorite is the title track. Benny dayal's rendition is perrrrfect and adds an extra layer of peppiness into it. Next comes Aunty ji. Simple lyrics with the youth lingo make the song connect instantly. the song is already on the way to the very top. Neuman Pinto, Ash King, and Bianca Gomes did a splendid job with the song.
'Kar Chalna Suru tu' by Vishal Dadlani, and Shilpa Rao also makes for a great listening. pretty nice.
'Aahatein' is the only slow track in the album. This one is average. The lyrics says it all, Sab Kuch wohi hai par kuch kami hai.
Gubbare sounds familiar, but nevertheless enjoyable. The music director and lyricist too join the fun as they lend their voice in the song.
Overall, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is worth the money. 3.5/5 for me.
