This film is based on the life of Kamal (Amitabha Bhattacharya), Kamal; a clerk in a company in Kolkata live sin the outskirts from where he travels every day by train to Kolkata. He leads a very mundane life of going to office every day and coming back from work and not having a life beyond that. One day he comes a cross Shyamalda (Sabyasachi), an old associate who is a poet, revolutionary and a social activist. He passes his number to Kamal and asks him to get in touch with him later. Meanwhile Kamal thinks of selling off his house and settling in Kolkata as it is a far off from Kolkata. He goes to meet Shyamalda who advises him to sell off his house. He comes back home, gives it a thought and decides against selling his house.
This film is an extremely boring film and has new nothing to offer. The mundane life of a clerk would not interest most people unless something was added to it and so this is a complete hopeless film. Sabyasachi who appears after the interval is there only in few scenes and a song. The song ‘Path Harobo Bole Ebar Pathe Nebechi’ has been given you a life here. Anjana Basu as Saathi is okay. Amitabha Bhattacharya has never acted in a big budget film on his own nor been able to deliver a film which has done medium business even after a few years and quite a few films. That is not even expected from him.
