Kamal, a clerk in a company in Kolkata live sin the outskirts from where he travels every day by train to Kolkata. He leads a very mundane life of going to office every day and coming back from work and not having a life beyond that. One day he comes a cross Shyamalda, an old associate who is a poet, revolutionary and a social activist. He passes his number to Kamal and asks him to get in touch with him later. Meanwhile Kamal thinks of selling off his house and settling in Kolkata as it is a far off from Kolkata. He goes to meet Shyamalda who advises him to sell off his house. He comes back home, gives it a thought and decides against selling his house.
