‘Ektuku Choan Lage’ features a starcast which has no star value and not much acting potential hence the net result. The film is sort of a tearjerker till the very end in it’s own special way. The film which stars Amitabha Bhattacharya, Ragini, Arnab and Priya Karfa in the lead roles is about Sneha who loses her parents in an accident and becomes blind. She is looked after by her uncle and she comes across Raj, an air force pilot one day when she comes in front of his car. They fall in love over a period of time.Sneha comes to know one day that Raj has died in an accident. She is shattered. She gets her eyesight back after an operation which is done by Dr.Kaustav Mukherjee. Now he falls in love with Sneha though his best friend Genia loves him. Just when Sneha and Kaustav’s engagement is about to take place, Raj enters the picture! Yes, it seems he had not died after all.Sneha does recognize him on hearing his voice though he wishes to go away from her life.Kaustav enacts a drama whereby everyone gets the real truth.
The film which is a drama is extremely slow and tests your patience in the first half. The songs and the acting is not upto the mark either save Priya Karfa who is quite good and Kharaj in his bit role. Actually the first half is pathetic, it is only the second half which is watchable.Amitabh who plays Raj,a pilot is shown having hair which a pilot will never be allowed to keep. You could actually count the number of people present in the theatre viewing the film.
