Madhur is back with his Jalwa…
Yet another well packaged offering from Madhur Bhandarkar…while I already had high expectation, the movie delivers over and above them!
Priyanka is lucky to have had the opportunity to do this movie, and she does a fantastic job! Kangana is good, and Mugdha gets noticed for her acting!
The movie packages great insights, using ‘Fashion’ as a platform, it unfold the situations etc that are still quite relatable and hard-hitting for all. Like the choices you get to make in life define what you become, your real values get tested under pressure situations etc etc.
I thought the movie was a lot deeper than what it portrayed! And that’s the beauty of Madhur’s movies!
Besides, I really enjoyed the glam-sham shown! The incidences of the fashion world, the other side of the ramp etc. was quite interesting! And even if 10% of this is true, it was quite fascinating!
I loved the way Meghna’s journey is treated – her heightened passion, her madness and confidence, her success transforming her positive qualities to arrogance without her realizing the same. What I truly admire is that the movie is not cliché – had it been, it would have shown Meghna ‘not’ compromising!
Kudos to all – Madhur, Priyanka, Mugdha, Kangana (ok, ya), Arbaaz...and others ?
