I have yet to see the movie... but really looking forward to the Batman series....but think that Michael Keaton was the best Batman. Just loved his green eyes.

The Batman is real and the Joker is animated. Nowadays it is becoming the trend to bridge the gap and make real films out of comic book heroes. The Dark Knight is gripping and unpredictable, and is value for money. Except the joker, nothing is loud in the film. A welcome departure from the Michael Keaton / Val Kilmer /George Clooney days. Unlike Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher, the director of Memento, Chris Nolan has concentrated on the script than the accessories. Well done. But thrill wise, Die Hard 4 is my favourite movie in recent years!!!

Michael Keaton??? Well, diversity of opinions...I respect that. But, I think Keaton gave no emotion or darkness thrill to Batman. Clooney made him look cheap, as one of those silly guys hunting girls. Now, Bale and Kilmer were perfect as Batman, but I must say that, in my opinion, Bale is better as Batman. Dark and a bit sinister when Bat and charming and almost rude as Bruce. Just perfect.
Now, regarding Joker...hmmm....Nicholson as the Joker was one of the gratest performances in film industry ever, but Ledger just won the character. And when I thought no one could bit Nicholson as the Joker, well people....Ledger just did it!

So here it is: The best superhero movie ever. The Dark Knight deftly accomplishes all one could hope for, and then it surpasses it, and then it continues to surprise. The movie isn't just a triumph, it is that rare pop-culture oddity: A masterpiece. However, be not fooled, this movie may circle D.A. Harvey Dent, and may toy with Wayne's weariness and loneliness, but this story belongs heart and soul to Ledger's Joker.

@P: keep the Knight in the Dark till the weekend comes, and then watch it on a dark night :) stupid jokes apart, me too have added it (reluctantly though) on my wishlist; call it peer effect!
