Recession, well, seems Sanjay Gupta thinks otherwise

Description: Been reading news about how film industry is also recession striken, but was surprised to see one director announce one film after the other.

White Feather films have announced, a film with Meghna Gulzar, don't remember the name, another some film with really radical name is coming out from his stable some 'Great Indian Butterfly', and 'Pankh' which has one of my good friends Maradonna in a lead. He will be next phenomenal actor. And there's Acid Factory. Also in the pipeline with Sarthak Das Gupta is Bread Butter Cash , Untitled with Pooja Bhatt , which is based on the book Vines of Desires and there's Alibaug as well , quite a long impressive list !

that meghna gulzar film is Milthi Hai, it is a romantic comedy. And 'The Great Indian Butterfly', whatever I've read of it seems to be a great great story. Yes he is coming out with quite a few films, and the great thing is, all of these have great ideas, themes, and are not regular song and dance fares.

Yes, you know what (don't kill me for this) I really miss my good old formula, masala Hindi movie these days....the Amar Akbar Anthony types, the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham types, the entry of the hero - the seeti.... me wants some regular stuff too...KJo are you listening !!!! :-)

I agree, I've been keenly observing the happenings of bollywood, i am a bollywood reporter, and i think the next 4-5 films of Sanjay Gupta, especially 'The Great Indian Butterfly', 'Acid Factory', 'Pankh' are really unique movies, and film going audiences in India are going to be treated.

@rima: wink wink :) I personally hate this guy's movies; all flush with 'sleek' looking sets, cars and anything that money can easily get. but thats all. cinema is a little more than that, na?

not very sure how well these aforementiones movies from the Sanjay Gupta stable will fare in the BO. 'Acid Factory' will definitely be another wasteful Sanjay Gupta film.
