Amitabh Bachchan or Aamir Khan…who is a better actor??

Description: Strictly actor, not superstar...Lets keep all the issues of it being wrong to compare actors of different generations & experience & stuff aside…On a one to one basis, who do you think is a better actor??

According to me, Aamir Khan is a better actor as compared to Amitabh Bachchan...Aamir Khan can carry a movie solely on his shoulders whereas, AB's movies do not even get a decent opening now if they are not from a big banner production house...

This probably has sumthing to do with the number of releases, where Aamir has 1 release every 2 yrs, AB has 6 every yr...but then if u look at the movies which flop...Aamir's acting is never critisized (Mangal pandey) whereas, AB's acting is critisized(RGV ke aag...)...thats an indication of who is a better actor...

Aamir, for me, may have an edge.

Amitabh may have had his time in his golden days. Today, Aamir scores better. Again, Amitabh has done so well for such a long period. It's not a easy task to compare them. May be, right kind of roles are not made for him, these days. Also, in these days, it's difficult to separate the actor from the personal image, which comes from his social life, interaction with people / media and company he keeps. Aamir will get a higher overall score from me.

Acting wise ...definitely Aamir..he is an intense actor.
But the kind of charisma Amitabh Bachchan one can beat that.

oooooo thats a bold question......Amitabh is GOD so even though i really like amir, cant really compare them.......have grown up seeing amitabh movies......have seen my mother, my sister go i follwed suit.......he has given hit after hit in is days and his fans used to go frenzy on the day his movies used to be released......have seen most of them in VCR...the versatility is unbeaten.......amar akbar antony on one end and a mili and abhiman on the other and then sholay, trishul, shakti, deewar, silsila, kabhi kabhi.o i can go one and many golden movies and acting - o you didnt feel he was acting b coz it was so natural......his voice, his andaaz..charisma all this made him are we comparing that amitabh with amir or the recent movies......he is 66 and still rocking man - amir is definitely great, his focus, his acting....he is very choosy thus we get to see less of him, would definitely like to see more, but cant compare him to GOD can we????

For me Amitabh will always be the Amitabh of the yesteryears - have to compare apples to apples... so will not bring his recent movies in comparison.

To me Amitabh was closest to worship, I have liked Aamir but I think he was a better director than an actor (guys don't kill me yet!!!). Don't get coloured by only his last few movies, think about Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, QSQT, Hum Hai Raahi Pyaar Ke....get the drift...won't say that he was outstanding

    For me Amitabh it is.
