watching ads with a little programme inbetween

Description: can anyone tell me if we are paying for each Chanel separately why do we have to watch all the unending ads,whats the legality of it?

    Don't know about the legality. But it seems like the age old 'subscription vs ad revenue' debate. I have seen (while working in MR for the print media) that most publications make money from the ad revenue rather than from subscription (the latter is a much more paltry amount). It seems that the same applies for cable.

    it may be ok for cable but what about direct to home? In a country like ours the revenue cant be very paltry , atleast there can be a limit to the ads and its timings
