    G.K. Desai, the Producer-Actor was born on 10th September 1973 in Bombay, India. Did his schooling from St. Xavier's High School, Metro, Bombay. Finished his Diploma and Bachelors Degree First Class Honors in Electronics Engineering from University of Bombay and Masters Degree MBA (Finance) from Geneva, Switzerland. Giving up a prolific banking career, he pursued his passion of acting and producing movies. Till date has seen 9,500 movies around the world covering every format/genre of filmmaking invented from 1895-2010. Has shifted his base from Bombay to Los Angeles as a Hollywood Producer (The Ode, 2008)which was screened at the Beverly Hills Film Festival 2010. Regards the Ace filmmaker Golden Lotus Winner Madhur Bhandarkar from India as his elder brother in very high esteem. Feels the director as a major turning point in his life. "The Opportunist" his debut short film production was the sole Indian entry among 1,573 entries worldwide at the 5th Con-Can Movie Festival, Tokyo, Japan. Attended as an Actor the 31st Moscow International Film Festival 2009 and Festival de Festivals, St. Petersburg 2009 in Russia for the screening of his film Madhur Bhandarkar's "Fashion".Also attended the Cairo International Film Festival in Egypt.His second 14 min Short film production "GAALI" and "A DOG" the 3rd 14 min short in "The Mumbai Trilogy" series is ready.Right now he is in the pre-production stage of his Hindi feature film tentatively titled "DESERT...where Love Blooms" to be shot in Dubai,London and Los Angeles !!!
