There was a time when films use to portray the social issues around us. The “Aam Aadmi” or a commoner was shown as sufferer, lover, angry young man, naïve, revenge taker, depressed, misguided and many other forms. We had actors like Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Amol Palekar, Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Naseerudin Shah and many more enhancing the common man in all types of shades.
