    Satyajit Ray made “Ganashatru” in 1989 & it released on 19th January, 1990. Ray’s second last feature film, “Ganashatru” fights for honesty & fights against the shattered social system with integrity & defiance. Ray made the celluloid adaptation of a Henrik Ibson short story & penned the screenplay himself. Barun Raha operated the camera after Soumendu Roy’s departure.     "Ganasatru" is Satyajit Roy's twenty-fourth full length feature film. The film is Ray's own adaptatin of Henrik Ibsen's "An Enemy of the People". Ibsen's play has been transformed by Ray, unlike its treatment by Arthur Miller.
