    This is a story about a girl Sati and her family. Her poor father Lakhon Chakraborty and her poor mother Maloti Chakraborty were always worried about her marriage. By profession her father was a poor farmer and had made lots of loans in the market. The mahajon was a greedy person but his son Shyam was a good and educated person. When he was a child his mother decided to give his marriage with Sati. After a long time Shyam met with Sati and they fell in love. But Bipin did not agree to this marriage. A master, Kesto tried to seperate Shyam and Sati because he wanted to fix his daughter's marriage with Shyam. Bipin and Kesto tried to seperate them and they succeded. Sati was given in marriage to a old person Brindabon, but he died on the wedding night and Sati becomes a widow. Her mother also died at the moment. Her father was missing. In Brindabon's house, her sister-in-law blamed her as a characterless woman because of her husband's property. Sati tried to commit sucide, but a prostitude saved her and taught her how she would fight with this socioety. On the other side Shyam tried to find out Sati. At last Bipin realised his mistake,Kesto was also punished. Lakhon returned and they made the arrengements of Shyam and Sati's wedding.
