My Rating

  • Ghajini rating: 9 out of 10(Vinayak Chandra wrote on 07 Nov 2009)

Awesome movie. What a brilliant performance by Aamir and not to forget Asin. This girl is a bundle of talent and is sure to rock Bollywood in the coming days. Aamir didnt suit as a lover boy, but rocked as a businessman and moreover as the Wild beast. His expressions were absolutely perfect! No doubt, it was a tough role for any actor as one had to do the speaking mostly from his face than the mouth, but Aamir carried it off perfectly. No Wonder he is the Perfectionist.

Coming to story, we all are aware of it so need to run that down. The screenplay is absolutely gripping. You dont even realize, that you have just seen a 3 hrs movie. Hats off to Murgadoss for coming up with such a story.

The love story angle between Aamir & Asin is handled very nicely and so are the comic scenes in the 1st half. The best scene definitely has to be the scene from where Asin gets the call that Ghajini's men are hidden in her flat to the moment she dies. By Best, i dont mean i enjoyed it obviously but seriously those 10-15 or maybe 15-20 mins were so gripping that i could actually feel what Asin would have been going through. So pissed off was I, when Aamir had left his cell in his car!! And i just could not control my tears rolling down my cheeks, when Aamir lying on the floor, roared but just could not save Asin. That was really a touching moment. :(

The climax was another brilliant scene. The fight scenes were handled very well & looked so real unlike our typical bollywood fights. The way Aamir kills Ghajini (in same fashion like Ghajini killed Asin) and the way he roars & cries after the scene is just awesome!

Also the very ending scene of the movie, where Aamir imagines Asin holding his hand, is touchy.

As per music, the only song that i like is 'Guzarish'. Others just dont impress me.

Aamir Khan deserves the best actor award all the way for his superb act here. The way he emotes, the way he expresses , the way he carries off the short term memory loss is awesome. Jiah Khan did justice to the amount of role she had to do. For the first time, i never bothered to look at my watch while watching a 3 hrs movie, so interesting and gripping was it. It’s a masala entertainer but that is just no problem. You will enjoy it for sure.
