Golemale Pirit Koro Na rating: 0 out of 10(Aditya Chakrabarty wrote on 04 Mar 2013)

‘Golemale Pirit Koro Na was the opening track in 3 Kanya which was one of the most peppy numbers heard in recent times in a Bengali film and the sequence had been shot at a nightclub. Well, now a Bengali film by the same name has released this week which happens to be a comedy and is a much delayed project. The film happened to be the first film of Anindya Banerjee which got stuck for certain reasons and his 2nd film, ‘Chaplin ‘ got released first.

The film is in fact a really a wacky film because the story line is really confusing and talk of sub plots, well, the story first-Two guys called Gouranga and Gobardhan meet in a nightclub and strike up a friendship and their cell phones get exchanged . When Gobinda comes to return the phone to Gouranga, he discovers that Gouranga has a cousin called Banya who is obsessed with Salman Khan and with the name called Prem and desires a boyfriend called Prem so he becomes Prem! Gouranga also lands up at Gobinda’s house and discovers that he has got a sister called Rai who desires a boyfriend called Prem and so he becomes Prem! Just when you thought that the confusion had started, there is complete mayhem! Banya lands up at Gobindo’s place and discovers he is not Prem. Her dominating mother lands up there with her helping hand,’ Kondorbo’ who is a ‘would be suitor’ for Banya. Just when he reveals facts like Gobindo being an adopted son, it turns out to be much more than that and finally when you learn that Gobindo and Gouranga are brothers and so Banya is their cousin and therefore Gobindo can’t be with Banya anymore, something else is revealed-Banya’s mother and Gobindo and Gouranga’s mother were never sisters, but best of friends! Hell! Hello! Are you there? Thank God some sub plots haven’t been revealed, otherwise it just would have been too much.

The film starts off on such a note and carries on till interval that you are wondering as to exactly what is happening and why it is happening and why two girls go on uttering ‘Prem’ , ‘Prem’ you don’t know. Whether they are looking for a boyfriend called Prem or the abstract term called Prem which means love or both , you are utterly confused. Things start becoming more clear later on, but again towards the end, you are completely stumped. This is one film! Performances are okay of the entire cast and you can try watching it once.
