The chief labour officer of a private steel company could sense corruption in his company. He sent an enquiry report to the government. Later he was murdered by hired goons. Sandipan Ray, a young reporter started investigating on the matter. He visited the union leader, Prabir and got to know that the officer was murdered by the company goons. Later Prabir was also murdered but some how his fellow comrade Bijan escaped. The hired gang of killers, which included Sheetal, a goal keeper in a small time football team, was the main suspect for these murders. They even threatened Prabir's family and friends to know Bijan's whereabouts. Bijan disappeared from the city, but sent few unaddressed letters to Prabir's sister, Nirupama. Nirupama and Bijan were in love with each other. Sandipan's report against the two murders was vulnerable for the company. But the company did well to cover up all the mess. Sandipan started tracking Sheetal who was the only lead. Sheetal realising everything started threatening Nirupama again. In between Bijan came back from Nasik where he had stayed after escaping from the company and police. He asked Nirupama to marry him but she was very hesitant about it. They decided to marry but could not because of the murder of Sandipan. Who was behind it? No one knew. Nirupama broke down on hearing this as he was the only person who had all the witnesses and the suspects with his research report. She broke up with Bijan. Somehow she could not relate Bijan with the person she had known him because he wanted to forget the whole issue of Prabir's death. Later Sheetal the prime suspect for Sandipan's murder was found murdered. The company left no evidence in the whole issue.
