    Guzaarish: A cinematic experience!

Guzaarish rating: 9 out of 10

Guzaarish is a beautiful movie. When it comes to pain, of all the contemporary movie directors, I think SLB has learnt the art of portraying it without going through the usual route of tear-jerking sympathy-begging scenes. He does it with dignity and that's what I think is the essence of this movie. To live life with dignity.

Hrithik Roshan has been known to portray difficult roles with careless ease. Something he proves again. Playing Ethan Mascarehnas is not easy, cause he not only needs to get into the psyche of a paraplegic but also needs to physically represent ... » read more

In early 80’s there was a film ‘Khabardaar’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Hasaan which was based on mercy killing. After some shooting the makers decided to shelve the project fearing controversies and maybe the audience too at that time were not ready for such films. But after few decades in today’s time, our Hindi film audience has grown up drastically and looks like now is the right time for such films. Thus Sanjay Leela Bhansali brings us his latest film ‘Guzaarish’ based on such different subject. So let’s find out will this film be apt for the matured Hindi ... » read more

    Fine things!

When I saw the trailers of Guzaarish I had already condemned the movie to the guillotine without a fair trial. I had mentally dismissed this one as Sanjay's next debacle.

So when I saw that the movie was getting good reviews n Friday morning, my hopes went up and I quickly booked tickets for the 1st day's night show. The excitement was palpable as I'm anyways pre-disposed to liking the key players: Hrithik, Ash and Bhansali (by and large - give and take a few like Khamoshi).

The movie was a bit of 'All right' yes! A fantastic performance by Hrithik (which ... » read more

    Guzaarish...

Guzaarish rating: 8 out of 10

'Guzaarish' is like a celluloid painting…with broad brush strokes of passion, emotion, individuality and sensitivity, that makes it an experience worth feeling…not just watching. There’s an almost operatic theatricality with which the characters burst into your senses, yet through every mood and every scene, there is an undeniable reality…of pain, pleasure, living and dying, that if you’ve lived, loved, won some and lost more…you cannot help but get caught up in.

Bhansali’s sensibilities are often too opulent, almost garish for my tastes. Yet in this ... » read more

    Combo has brought out flavor!

Guzaarish rating: 7 out of 10

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his artistic movie. His art might be in different taste but the way he brings out the feeling is what people love. Hrithik is known for his class acting, though he comes in few but gives a mark in every. Earlier Sanjay’s ‘Saawariya’ and Hrithik’s ‘Kites’ didn’t turn out well but, these two combos got united in a film called ‘Guzaarish’, which brings you a fragrance flavor and will mesmerize you.

    Story:

It’s the story about one magician, Ethan Mascarenhas (Hrithik Roshan) who met with an accident from one of his dangerous ... » read more

what a lovely movie .sanjay leela bhansali must deserve a award for making a movie with such a good cast.

hrithik was great as ethan mascrenhas and specially his scenes where he says he wants to desperately have sex and order a pack of condoms and ash massaging his legs and making great noises.

ash was best in second half of the films supported by aditya raj kapoor who was also good. overall a good film with some good songs hrithik needs a great applause for taking up issue like this » read more
