Guzaarish is a beautiful movie. When it comes to pain, of all the contemporary movie directors, I think SLB has learnt the art of portraying it without going through the usual route of tear-jerking sympathy-begging scenes. He does it with dignity and that's what I think is the essence of this movie. To live life with dignity. Hrithik Roshan has been known to portray difficult roles with careless ease. My attitude towards the music of Guzaarish was something similar to what I felt for the movie when I saw the promos on TV - I had mentally dismissed it as "This is going to be ONE washout - Sanjay has tried 'Aantlaami' which is so not going to work". What I hadn't bargained for was that I would fall hook line and sinker for some of the tracks in the film, which like the film in essence, are about 'fine things'too!
