    This is the story of Prashant (Dev Anand) who is searching for his sister.They were seperated as kids when their parents divorced and took one child with each other. Prashant returned to India with his mother,while his father and sister stayed behind in Montreal, Canada. While Prashant grows up to be a pilot, Jasbir turns out to be a spoilsport who turns out to be a drug addict. She runs away from Canada with 5000 dollars. When Prashant gets to know from his father that Jasbir is in Kathmandu, he goes there to find her. He finds her but Jasbir has completely forgotten her brother, and doesnt want to return home from her hippy haunt. Meanwhile, Prashant falls in love with a Nepalese girl Shanti (Mumtaz) and both get married in a temple. At this,local goon Dronacharya (Prem Chopra), who always had eyes on Shanti, gets very angry and plans to frame Prashant by blaming a temple idol theft on him. But Prashant solves this issue by revealing the truth behing Dronacharya to the police chief of Kathmandu. His sole mission now is to rescue Jasbir, and he calls his parents too for help. They arrive in Kathmandu. But when Prashant goes to find her and get her out of the hippie circle, a confused Jasbir commits suicide.....
