Harry Baweja is a writer, producer directorm who made his debut in Bollywood with the direction of Trinetra (1991), starring Mithun Chakraborty. The film didn’t do too well at the box-office.

In 1994, Baweja directed Dilwale, starring Ajay Devgan and Suniel Shetty. It was a big musical hit. Imtihan (1995), starring Sunny Deol and Raveena Tandon, was a good film and did decent business as well. Diljale (1996), starring Ajay Devgan and Sonali Bendre in lead roles, was again a good film and did average business at the box-office. Deewane (2000), starring Ajay Devgan in a double role, was a good movie as well. Baweja started earning increased recognition in the industry.

In 2001, Baweja directed Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao, starring Rekha and Naseeruddin Shah besides others. It was a huge flop. Even his Karz: The Burden of Truth (2002), starring Sunny Deol and Suniel Shetty, flopped badly. After a long while, Baweja got another hit with Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003), starring Ajay Devgan and Suniel Shetty among others. He then wrote and directed Main Aisa Hi Hoon (2005), again starring Ajay Devgan as the main lead. The film didn’t do very well at the box-office inspite of some good performances. Baweja then produced Karam (2005), starring John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra, which was quite a good film but didn’t do great business. Baweja’s last direction was in the thriller Teesri Aankh (2006), starring Sunny Deol as the main lead. The movie flopped badly. Speed (2007), the multi-starrer film, also bombed at the box-office.

Harry Baweja’s Love Story 2050, marking the debut of his son Harman Baweja, release in June 2008 with much hype. The find, unfortunately, flopped badly.
