    The first promo of this movie stole tranquility of many erotic movie lovers. Paoli Dam, the bad girl in Bengali movies makes her debut in Bollywood and here also she isn't such a good girl. There's nothing such new in vendetta theme. A Girl tries to take revenge on someone who has ruined her life - many told and untold stories have been narrated in the same way. But still, depending on the hotness and sex-quotient of the movie, HATE STORY relied on a very risky position of expectations as the story and narrating of the movie didn't seem much impressing.

    Hate Story is the first erotic thriller of Bollywood. It is based on hatred. It establishes that one can go to any extent if he/she hates someone. The film is produced by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Vivek Agnihotri. A woman is used and destroyed by his employer; she decides to take revenge and does every bit for the same. Will she be able to succeed?
    The music album of the film is good with only three songs, which is quite unusual, if we go by the regular Bollywood routine.

Meet the newest avatar of Maa Kali! The fascist avenging woman has always been a favourite figure of fantasy fashioning for our films. Who can forget Nargis gunning down her own son in Mehboob Khan's "Mother India"?

The motivations for revenge in "Hate Story" are not quite the ones that impelled the woman protagonist to rise up in arms in "Mother India" or for that matter in "Bhavna", a film directed by "Hate Story" producer Vikram Bhatt's father Pravin Bhatt, where Shabana Azmi killed her own husband.
