When Manmohan Desai made Amar Akbar Anthony, it started series of films featuring three heroes from different religion, which keeps going on till date. But none of them made up to the mark of what the first one made. Then there were some films like Seeta Salma Suzy, etc. but mostly all were in b grade bracket. Debutant director Manoj Tiwari brings us “Hello Darling” where again the main three central characters are female and that too from different religion. But before you think this is routine religious drama, hold your horses as this one does not even come anywhere near. So what actually is “Hello Darling” all about? Let’s find out.

“Hello Darling” is story of Mr. Harddick {Javed Jaffery} who is a V.P of a multinational firm. He is total womanizer and loves to flirts around with his colleagues. He tries his best to trap in Mansi {Gul Panag}, Candy {Celina Jaitley} and Satvati {Eesha Koppikhar}. At his home front his wife Purvi {Divya Dutta} is too irritated with his habit. After regular attempts by Mr.Harddick, these three females join hands and decide to teach a lesson to their boss. What happens next is all the film about.

Story is simple and one liner. The whole concept sounds interesting but sadly the film is nothing but drag and bore. The screenplay is so slow and has nothing new to offer. There are many unnecessary stuff which keeps going on in the film and I guess the director/writers wanted us to laugh out there, but sorry we missed the punches. The dialogs are so tacky and lines like “he is such a dog” have been used so many times. Along with bad writing the film also suffers some bad editing also, supported by shoddy camera work.

Music is disappointing and so is the background music. Band Baaja in end credits is good, but till then your interest in film is total gone. The remix of Aa Jaane Jaan is totally bad.

Director Manoj Tiwari {don’t get confused with the b-grade Bhojpuri actor} assisted in films like Kisna, Naksha, Champion, etc. whatever he learnt from these super duds films, he utilized it so well in Hello Darling, that this film too will join the long list of those duds. His story telling was boring and looked dated. Also there were so many unwanted adult jokes or acts which miss the comic timing and thus looks total tacky.

Javed Jaffery is a good actor, but what can he do if the script and the role is so bad. Still he tries his best in this weak written role. It’s sad to see Gul Panag in such films after giving us some brilliant performances in films like Dor or Manoroma. Same goes with Essha Koppikhar, it looked like she went back to her struggling days. Celina Jaitley did what she is best for, act like a dumb babe. Chunky Pandey in a small role manage to give us some smiles in this so called comedy film. Divya Dutta irritated us by calling her husband bhai; please stop making stale gujju jokes. Ashawari, Seema and others were just ok. Sunny Deol in guest appearance dint appeal at all.

So bol meri “Filmi Khopdi” is film mein kitna hai dum?

Dum??? Who to vivek oberoi ki film mein bhi nahi tha, aur yaha bhi nahi hai. The film is total waste and will end up with earlier made B-Grade films fate. One should totally avoid watching and making such movies. If I had number of Manoj Tiwari, I would had called him and said “Hello!!! WTF”.
