    Horror or Comedy??

Help rating: 2 out of 10

Some questions are unanswered and looks dam funny. Like there's no physical damage shown to Susan (Sophia Handa) body at her funeral, even though she died because of a brutal accident. Why didn't the ghost kill Pia's father since he was the one who was responsible for the injustice done to her? Where was the video cassette, which provides vital clues to Vic, since so many years and why did no one see it before? Shreyas Talpade has a major role to play in the second half of the film and yet his act was termed as 'special appearance'! Handicap Aditya who plays basketball ... » read more

    Help needed!

Help is full of usual horror film cliches. Whether it's scenes or props or sound won't miss anything that you have scene in earlier horror films. In that way, if there was ever a book like "Horror Movie direction for Dummies", the debutant director Virani would have gone through it very sincerely. Here are a few of the cliches which make this movie.

    Cliche no. 1

    Thumbs down!!

Help rating: 4 out of 10

The writing, somehow, is not thoroughly convincing and at places, gives an impression of being a script of convenience. The writers [Deepak Pawar and Viddesh Malandkar] come up with really spooky situations at times, but switch over to the tried-and-tested situations to take the story forward. Story initially seemed to be been-there-done-that types but impressed towards the later part of the film. Screenplay could have been better while dialogues were okay. The first half is slow, it slightly picks up in the second half with a decent and unpredictable background story. ... » read more

It was great to see Bobby Deol after a long time, he pitches in a sincere performance but on top of it a dispirited performance by him and it doesn’t help either. Mugdha shows marked improvement over her previous performances. But overall she tries her best to bring an eerie edge to her Pia but succeeds only partly, and her bikini act on a beach isn’t hot either. Shreyas Talpade enacts his part well. He is actually okay but his role is surprisingly chucked in the closing reels. Jyoti Dogra is capable. The actor enacting the role of Mugdha's father is passable. » read more
