One of the greatest Indian depictions of the beo realist symbol films of the golden era of Europe. Herbert is the detailed biography of the achivements & failures, about revolution and humanism; the naxatile movement of the 1970's - achivements & drawbacks. Its not important to search a formal story in a symbolist film like this; but there is one. The movie begins with the 1st birthday of Herbert... fallen capitilist & characterless, a negilcted , isoliated individual in the toxic times of the 1970's. He becomes an out & out romantic. His childhood become charctersied will books, kites the terrace, friends fun & maxism. His elder brother introduces him to the unknown would of communication. Rockiy of a son of one of the criminals tries to come in way and leads to heavy fighting. Rudronil, slowly but steadily kills the first criminal by drowning him in water and also kills the second one by pushing him from roof. Court purdons Rudronil for the injustice to his family. In an extra ordinarly skillful way the whole second half leads to a blast a blast and the police can nerver investigate out they actual reason. Actually dynamite was inserted inside the blankets and bedding by the late Binu during the Naxatile period. The movie ends on a tragic.
