  First things first – Stray away all the comparisons with’Fashion’ or any previous Bhandarkar ‘hard-hitters’, for ‘Heroine’ is miles away from them both in terms of content and execution. Belying all the expectations of an average cine-goer, ‘Heroine’ charters a new path altogether, neither trying to be an insight into the big bag world of films, nor attempting to be an actress’ bio-pic like the scandalizing ‘The Dirty Picture’ or the more arty classic ‘Bhoomika’.   His movie-titles are as un-imaginative as he is and Heroine is just a testimony of how myopic and limited a film-maker can be.
  
  The story of a messed up woman, Mahi Arora who is a ‘heroine’ and thinks that she is an actor, her story revolves around the sycophants that she has surrounded herself with, wrong choice of men, smoking and drinking away to insanity and a profession she has chosen in her own words for ‘fame and money’.   Yes if you are aware of gossips of Bollywood u find a excerpts of last 10 yrs history of those pages summarised.
  Why critics miss the woman hood shown nicely in film .. is overlooked ?

  before watching the movie i was very excited about the new release .but feel dissapointed
  after watching the movie .Madhur Bhandarkar promoted the movie as a story of strrugle of every heroine but end up with a story of psychopath heroine who never feel satisfied.

  Mix of 'Fashion' and 'The Dirty Picture'.

  If you are a movie buff you would know that Aishwarya Rai was the initial cast of this movie then I guess the pregnancy took it off from her and landed on Kareena's lap. This definitely was a blessing in disguise. Her acting is super and this 2.5 hour of heroine centric movie did more than enough justice to the variety of skills she has to offer. But then it was not as pleasing for the audience.
