For Kareena Kapoor, this is her best work till date. After 'Jab We Met', this is the only film for which she has worked so hard.
After Khushi (2003) and Chameli (2004), 'Heroine' will see Kareena Kapoor in the title role once again.
Keeping in mind the birthday of Kareena Kapoor (21st September), the release date of the film was finalized.
In order to essay his character perfectly, Randeep Hooda, who plays a cricketer in Heroine, took tips and lessons from cricketer Virender Sehwag.
After Heroine, Kareena Kapoor refrained from taking on any other projects as she found Heroine to be "very aggressive and tiring".
After Aishwarya Rai left the film mid-way due to her pregnancy, Bhandarkar re-approached Kareena with the film. She agreed to do the film when she was handed the complete script.
Kareena Kapoor was always the first choice for 'Heroine', but she had reservations about the criticism her character might evoke as well as the intimate sequences in the film.
